The only Institute to learn farriery in India!
Education programs for farriers, veterinarians and horse breeders
Created by the Flying Anvil Foundation (Geneva Switzerland) under a joint venture with the Indigenous Horse Society of India (Jaipur). The Institute organizes courses for farriers exercising the profession for at least 2 years.
Our programs will give a full knowledge on: anatomy, physiology, limb conformation, feet conformation, feet diseases, trimming, shoeing and shoes forging.
Courses are taught by veterinarians and highly qualified farriers, volunteers from Europe, Canada, United States, Australia, and India. Classes are taught in English and translated in Hindi.
A full course is divided in 4 modules of 2 weeks’ time.
To enter the course any unknown farrier has to pass a test to show his ability in the profession. No beginners are accepted for the courses at the moment.

3 days intensive workshop on: “the importance of horse dentistry” with a European specialist
November 16th to 18th 2014
3 days intensive workshop on: “Farriery today: What an equine vet should know about it” What is the right trimming for a young horse: 0-6 months, 6-24 months, 1st shoeing, corrections on young horses, the glue on shoes, the polyurethane and the methacrylate resins on young horses.
Special courses for breeders:
April 16th to 17th 2014
2 days intensive course on: Handling on young horses, how to check conformation of the limbs, how to check conformation of the feet, when to start working on the feet and the trimming. The needs for corrections. The right time for corrections on young horses. First shoeing on young horses.
April 18th to 19th 2014
2 days intensive course on: Trimming your own horses
